House of Dz is a south London-based urban contemporary luxury fashion house created by fashion graduate Sammie Dz Olawuyi. He had his first taste of the industry through modelling and was inspired to go on and study it at the university of East London, where he produced his first unisex collection dubbed “Area Boys”; made up of the concoction of two cultures dear to him; London street culture & Nigerian Luxury.

The son of a Nigerian Tailor; HODZ founder Sammie Dz was influenced by the many cultures exposed to him growing up in the boiling pot that is London; always reflecting on his own street/gang culture experiences; house of Dz creates instantly recognizable pieces that feel familiar and nostalgic yet contemporary with the characteristic roadman edge.

A$AP Rocky said, “ I have a voice that speaks for a whole other market- not just black people, but high fashion urban people. I mix streetwear with high fashion. It’s never been seen before”, House of Dz (pronounced Dee zee) epitomizes just this, mixing high fashion with real streetwear, not simply copying or having influences. By tapping into this other market, titled “Urban Luxury”, HODZ has been able to expose a real urban street style to the public without watering it down or exaggerating it for the catwalk.
