Welcome to Japan Nakama, your gateway to Japan!

Who we are

We are a passionate collective of Japan culture enthusiasts dedicated to sharing our love for all things Japanese.

Our journey began as a group of friends in London, united by our love for Japanese culture and a desire to find local events celebrating Japan. Our search led us to create the ‘Japanese Things to Do in London’ app, helping others discover cultural events to quench our thirst for Japan.

Writing about Japan

Inspired by our travels to Japan, we developed a deep appreciation for its traditions, sub-cultures and way of life. This sparked the idea to share our passion and insights.

We love writing about fun facts of Japan, random trivia, travel tips, foodie thoughts, and curated anime and movie recommendations, so we invite you to join us in exploring the richness of Japanese culture and to discover your own unique love of Japan.

Shop our Japanese Gift Shop

Additionally, we’ve curated a Japanese gift shop, where you can find and shop a variety of Japanese and Japanese-inspired products, bringing a piece of Japan into your home.

Supporting Cultural Ambassadors

We’re all about highlighting the outstanding work of businesses, artists, and creators who promote the richness of Japanese culture, in their own way. We proudly feature these inspiring individuals and brands, inviting you to explore their unique stories through our content.
