Minimalist Kyoto temple print pays tribute to Tsukimi. Sometimes spelled “otsukimi” with the honorific ‘o,” is a Japanese moon-viewing festival. The full moon is traditionally observed on the 15th day of the eighth month of the traditional Japanese lunisolar calendar, whereas the waxing moon is celebrated on the 13th day of the ninth month. These days are typically observed in September and October of the current solar calendar.
