Description

Inspired by “Anata no Warehouse” (Your warehouse) – it was a world-famous five-story amusement facility in Kawasaki, Japan owned by Geo Corporation and opened in 2009.

The facility designed by artistic director Taishiro Hoshino looked worn down like the former Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong. Source of inspiration for many films including Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner, Kowloon City was a densely populated haven of crime and prostitution as well as a thriving community.

With a dedicated retro arcade games floor amplified by this surreal atmosphere, “Anata no warehouse” seduced gamers from all around the world. It sadly closed its doors in November 2019. Drawing by @une.ortega.

Kumagumi

Kumagumi is a Japanese clothing company founded by 2 old friends (Japanese & French) in 2015 in Kobe, Japan. Absolute fans of video games especially winning eleven, we started in 2008 selling Japanese imported consoles on eBay. Many others projects followed until the creation of KumaGumi in 2015.

“Kuma”(熊 / Bear) “Gumi”(組 Group) reminds us of our days, evenings, years (?!) spent playing videogames with friends hibernating like bears. We wanted a crocodile as a logo but it was already occupied, so we took the bear.

Our aim is to do quality retrogaming apparel you can actually wear in real life not just during events or conventions.

We also try to have the most environmentally friendly product possible (ok that’s a cliché now but anyway). That’s why our products are using only WATER based inked and done quasi LOCALLY (in the US for the USA/international orders, in Europe for the EU orders). NO CUSTOM FEES!

From the time your order is placed and the date you receive it, there are two processes to consider.

Fulfilment: Standard fulfilment time is 2-7 business days. Once your order has been fulfilled and left our building you will receive a notification with shipping information.
