Renowned Japanese choreographer Saburo Teshigawara brings his latest masterpiece, Waltz, to The Coronet Theatre for its UK premiere from March 19 to 22, 2025. This captivating duet based on the evocative rhythm of waltz, is a reflection on his own life and that of his long time collaborator, Rihoko Sato.
About Saburo Teshigawara
Saburo Teshigawara is the founder and Artistic Director of performance company KARAS and is an internationally-acclaimed choreographer, director, and performer for over three decades.
He has regularly performed at Sadler’s Wells and Southbank Centre and collaborated with Frankfurt Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theatre. Beyond established dance techniques, Teshigawara is a passionate advocate for making dance accessible to people of all abilities and from all walks of life, encouraging self-discovery through movement.
About Rihoko Sato
A celebrated performer in her own right, Rihoko Sato has received multiple awards for both her collaborative and solo work. Her accolades include:
