Kanji is the last of the three Japanese writing systems to learn and should be studied after the Hiragana & Katakana. You may know it as the beautiful characters used in calligraphy. It is the most complex with 1,000s of characters, each of which often has different meanings and readings. It’s a challenge but super interesting & useful.

Hai! Japanese is a passion project by learners (Lewis & Charlotte) for learners. We know all too well how confusing it can be to study and learn Japanese. We have taken the things we wish we knew when we started out ourselves and tried to convey them in a more intuitive, friendly and visually easy-to-understand manner. We hope you like it and it helps with your studies!

We are a small team based in London. Hai! Japanese is a passion project which came about while we were starting to learn Japanese.

We experimented with lots of tips, memory techniques and methods and found that by creating our own designs we could remember it much easier.

We hope that these cards will help you just as much and create a strong foundation and spark the same passion to learn Japanese! Everything is made right here in the UK so we are kinder to the environment. Illustrated by the wonderfully talented Charlotte from Martin Le Lapin.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Order Cancellation

All orders can be cancelled until they are shipped. If your order has been paid and you need to change or cancel it, you must contact us within 12 hours. Once the packaging and shipping process has started, cancellation is no longer possible.

Return Policy

We have a 28-day return policy, provided the product remains in deadstock condition. If the product is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue.

Step 2: Place the item back into its original packaging.
Step 3: Ship the package back to us using the correct return address.
Step 4: Once received, you can choose between a refund or an exchange for another item in our store.
