Sakura

Sakura or Cherry blossom season, known in Japan as Hanami,’ marks the transition from winter to spring. Every year, people from all over the world go to Japan to see the stunning beauty of the sakura as they bloom throughout the country.

Traditional sakura rituals Yozakura are still practised as crowds congregate under the blossoming trees to celebrate in parks and green spaces.

The Sakura’s signature design and symbol are found in everything from artworks, clothing, tea, mochi and even sushi!
